Astonishing New Art Gallery in Market Harborough

Sep 24, 2026

If you've walked down Church Street lately, you may have spotted something new. Our House Gallery is now open at number 28: an independent new art gallery in Market Harborough, showing original contemporary art, framing every piece properly, and helping people get it safely onto their walls.

Art That Feels Personal, Not Intimidating

We think buying art should be enjoyable. It shouldn't feel like you need a degree to walk through the door. Whether you already know which artist you're after or you just want to see what catches your eye, our team is happy to talk through the collection, answer questions about individual pieces, and help you find something that suits your space and your taste. No pressure and no jargon, just honest advice from people who know and love the art we sell.

The display changes often, so there's always something fresh to see. Come in a few weeks apart and you'll find a different gallery.

Meet the Gallery Director

Paul has spent more than 30 years in the art world. He began as a picture framer and gallery curator, went on to run his own framing business, and has since directed and managed galleries across the region. Our House Gallery is the sixth gallery he has run, following a period as manager at Castle Fine Art.

That background shapes how the gallery works. Paul's approach is built on honest advice, expertly curated frames and prompt, personal follow-up. He believes people should leave with a piece they love and will live with for years, rather than one they felt pushed into. His focus is on building lasting relationships with collectors and a strong reputation in the local community.

It's also why framing, virtual room mock-ups, delivery and installation are all offered under one roof. Each service reflects what Paul has learned from years of helping collectors bring art into their homes.

Paul is regularly in the gallery and always happy to talk art, so do come and say hello.

Who You'll Find on Our Walls

We're showing a broad mix of original work, including:

  • Paul Evans: classical landscapes with glowing skies and paths that draw you in
  • Sannib: striking mixed media portraiture, including lenticular pieces that shift as you move past them
  • Iain Faulkner: contemplative figurative paintings
  • Sheryl Roberts: vivid landscape and coastal paintings
  • David Ridley: atmospheric, semi-abstract seascapes and landscapes

Framing Done Properly

Framing is a big part of what we do. Our trained framing team uses conservation techniques throughout: acid-free mounts, UV-filtering glazing and archival materials. That protects your artwork from the light damage and discolouration that cheaper framing can cause over the years.

It applies to everything, from an original painting to a signed limited edition print or a treasured family photograph. Every frame gets the same level of care. We offer styles from traditional favourites to contemporary one-offs, so we can build something that suits both the artwork and your walls.

Shipping and Installation

If you're buying from further afield, we handle international shipping, including custom-made art crates and tracked, insured delivery. We treat every parcel as if the piece were staying on our own wall.

We also offer white glove installation. Our installers will hang a single statement piece above a fireplace or a full collection across a home or commercial space, and they think through wall type, lighting, sightlines and spacing so it looks right when it's done. Plenty of customers don't realise this is available until they need it, so please ask.

A New Art Gallery In Market Harborough - Come and See It in Person

Original art looks different in the room. Colour, texture and scale are hard to judge on a screen, and that's especially true of work like David Ridley's textured oils or Sannib's shifting lenticulars. So pop in, have a browse, and stay for a chat about framing if you like.
